Medical billing is incredibly complex. There are a lot of factors involved when it comes to expertly crafting a medical bill. The slightest error can end a reimbursement or claim. A human mistake can end up in claim denial. Finding the best approach, the best practices, and the most efficient methodology is critical, as it allows practitioners to focus their entire attention on their business model — not only on scaling it up, and optimizing its framework but on their patients, on those they serve.

An issue that’s often not well understood or talked about is the existence of a pay gap between genders for equal performance of the same role or task. It is a phenomenon that tends to be pervasive across industries but some are more open than others in acknowledging the issue and putting forth progressive plans and tools to address it.

I can still remember when I was first taught how to bill. Every doctor who taught me seemed to have their own unique interpretation of the schedule of medical benefits. I witnessed enormous practice variation with dramatic differences in code selection and subsequent pay for the delivery of very similar patient care.
